Accor continues to expand its portfolio in the Southeast of Europe with the return to the Slovenian market. Following the signing of the franchise agreement with Mogotel Group, the country will welcome the first hotel operating under the creative ibis Styles brand. The conversion of the existing Central and Fuzzy Log hotels in the Slovenian capital will include a rebranding of both sites under the ibis Styles brand and a program of renovation and redesign. The 182 key project includes 90 bedrooms in the traditional hotel building and a further 92 hostel-style bedrooms creating a unique hotel-hostel hybrid development. The signing represents a strengthening of the partnership between Accor and Mogotel Group, following a recent signing between the two groups in Budapest.
“We are excited to return to Slovenia and introduce the very first ibis Styles hotel in the country in partnership with Mogotel Group. The brand is known all over the world for its creativity, unique design, and captivating storytelling that creates unforgettable memories from every stay. We are sure that thanks to our continued successful partnership and the love for ibis Styles across the globe, the new hotel in Ljubljana will win the hearts of every guest visiting Slovenia. With our new hotel they will get the chance to explore and discover the country through unique experiences and creative design” - says Dilek Sezer, Development Director - Accor South Eastern Europe.
ibis Styles Ljubljana City Center will offer 182 creatively designed rooms located across seven floors. The modern and quirky property is a natural partner for the globally renowned ibis Styles brand, much loved for its creative design. Playful and surprising, the design of each ibis Styles hotel is different and tells a story of a person, place, experience, or happening related to the hotel or its location. The combination of spacious hotel bedrooms, occupying the first five floors of the property, and creative hostel pod rooms and unique rooftop glamping concepts spread across the top two floors and the roof. The abundance of personality in the existing property with addition of the only urban eco glamping in the city combined with Accor’s planned design renovation makes Styles Ljubljana City Center a natural fit for the Group’s eclectic economy hotel brand. The property has an excellent location, just a 3-minute walk from the city center with one of the best views in the capital of the castle offered by an unordinary rooftop bar on the 7th floor.
“With every year Ljubljana becomes an increasingly important city in the CEE and SEE region. Renowned as a picturesque metropolis buzzing with activities throughout the year the city stands out with rising prominence as a hub for both leisure and business. It is pleasure for us to cooperate again with Accor, the world leader in hospitality with many successful projects. This is our second hotel signed with the group, which shows our trust in a long-term partnership. We want to bring something unique to Slovenia, so it is the perfect time to bring ibis Styles to Ljubljana. With the new hotel we would like to influence further growth of the country in the CEE to bring a new level of hospitality for midscale properties” – says Vadims Muhins, Founder of Mogotel Hotel Group.
