Accor in partnership with Polish Red Cross
Since the escalation of situation in Ukraine, Accor has been concentrating its efforts on the safety and wellbeing of teams, guests, partners and communities. The world leading hospitality group, has announced a cooperation with the Polish Red Cross to support refugees from Ukraine. The group will provide essential food and supplies to those in need. The total amount of the donation exceeds PLN 1.2 million.
Accor teams are currently in close collaboration with authorities and NGOs to support those fleeing Ukraine with needed help. Accor has established a cooperation with the Polish Red Cross to support refugees from Ukraine. Accor will provide essential food and supplies to those in need, delivering 100 pallets of necessities and emergency care items with a total value of over PLN 1,200,000. Among the goods are long shelf life food, cosmetics, hygiene products, sanitary accessories and many more.
“We are very appreciative of partnership with Accor. In the current situation, the support from the group will allow us to organize places for refugees to stay. Thanks to it, we can provide them with a substitute for the home they had to leave” – said Michał Mikołajczyk, Member of the Polish Red Cross Board.
Hospitality is the industry that always has people at the very heart. Furthermore Accor has activated its ALL Heartist Fund, a dedicated financial vehicle to support our teams and their families in the region, and fund charitable acts and coorperations with the Red Cross and other local groups. In addition, Accor Heartist Solidarity, our endowment fund, is partnering with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to collect employees’ donations which will be topped-up by Accor.
