Miami, September 14th, 2016 – Sofitel has launched the 2016 “Sofitel Wine Days”, a global brand animation taking place from September 21st to October 31st, coinciding with the grape harvest season, during which Sofitel hotels will celebrate French wine and art de vivre. This 5th edition will provide the opportunity to illustrate Sofitel’s commitment to wine by means of a variety of events that will enable everyone to make daring new discoveries or deepen their knowledge of the world of wine.
WINE CONSUMPTION AT THE HEART OF THE 2016 SOFITEL WINE DAYS
On the occasion of its wine days, Sofitel commissioned a study in 2015 with the French Institute of Public Opinion (IFOP) about the art of wine. This exclusive two-part study was conducted across seven countries (Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Russia, and the United States) surveying 500 people per country over the age of 18 from a target socio-economic class. According to the study presented by Sofitel, 34% of those surveyed define themselves as wine novices but are keen to know about French wines. Furthermore, 45% of those surveyed — across all nationalities — expressed a desire to further their knowledge of French wines.
Sofitel Wine Days tastings represent a unique experience for wine lovers, providing the ideal framework to benefit from the brand’s art de vivre, which encompasses master sommeliers, a high quality wine library and exceptional wines served at the event. In North America, Sofitel guests in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Montreal will gain expert wine knowledge through an array of interactive events, and share their experiences with others on social media using #SofitelWineDays.
