AccorHotels was recognized by The Beacon Council, a nonprofit, public-private organization that focuses on job creation and economic growth in Greater Miami throughout the world, at the 14th Annual Beacon Awards held on May 4, 2016. AccorHotels North America, Central America and the Caribbean (NCAC) is the recipient of the prestigious 2016 Hospitality and Tourism Beacon Award, which acknowledges local leadership and economic development in the Hospitality and Tourism industry in the past year.
“We are truly honored to receive this award, especially after recently opening our regional headquarter office in Miami,” said Dominique Colliat, AccorHotels COO HotelServices for North America, Central America and Caribbean Region. “We will continue to grow and to support the economic development of Miami-Dade County.”
In December 2014, AccorHotels announced the opening of its new North America, Central America and Caribbean (NCAC) headquarters at Doral in Miami, Fl, consolidating previously independent business units in Dallas and New York City into one office. The move strengthened its regional and global footprint by providing a cohesive foundation for operational efficiency and sustainable, long-term growth. The office employs more than 85 employees and oversees 44 properties under eight different brands in seven countries in the region.
The Beacon Award is a highly-recognized award that honors Miami-Dade businesses for their significant contributions in the areas of job creation, business expansion, corporate citizenship, and leadership. The Beacon Awards are a component of One Community One Goal (OCOG), a targeted industry strategic plan launched by The Beacon Council.
