AccorHotels North America, Central America and the Caribbean (NCAC) announces the promotion of Marc Pichot to General Manager of Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile. With more than 15 years of experience within the Group, Pichot will now be responsible for managing the hotel's day-to-day operations.
"Marc has established himself as an essential part of the Group through his exemplary development and drive," said Dominique Colliat, Chief Operating Officer of Accor North America, Central America and the Caribbean. "Throughout his career at AccorHotels, Marc has demonstrated his ability to effectively manage operations, and we are certain he will be successful in his new role."
Pichot first joined the AccorHotels group in 1996 – his first job in hospitality – at Mercure Courchevel. Most recently, he served as Hotel Manager at Sofitel New York, where he was in charge of sales and revenue strategies. During his time at Sofitel New York, his efforts increased the hotel's profitability and raised the customer satisfaction index by three points, while maintaining a highly positive work environment. Prior to that, Pichot held various management positions within the company in Sofitel Minneapolis hotels in England and Scotland, as well as in France and Switzerland.
Born in France, where he studied cooking before specializing in the hotel industry, Pichot completed a management development program and has received training in management, consulting and mentoring, among other subjects. He is a member of Hotel Association NYC Sustainable Hospitality committee since 2013.
