Bringing the passion of live music into our hotels
Love Live!
In a growing trend, 50% of those surveyed said they would rather listen to live performances than recorded music.
51% of respondents expect live concerts to be the first musical activity from a new hotel. As the positioning for the brand, ibis has recognised this is what is expected by their guests. Moreover, 40% expect live concerts to be performed by emerging artists. This is where working with Spotify, who will be identifying trends in local emerging music, has been essential, as the discovery of these artists through Spotify’s algorithms has brought them to ibis’ attention to perform live as ibis hotels.
All this research has clearly illustrated that when travelling, people like to discover local music, singers and groups, an opinion verified by 53% of those surveyed.
ibis’ partnerships with Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Creative Group and Spotify demonstrates a shared set of brand values, a collaborative approach to the discovery of new music and talent and a common goal in bringing live music to the masses. Where Spotify believes in innovation and collaboration, Sony stands for dreams, curiosity and diversity. With ibis Hotels in the mix, their openness, sincerity and passion for live music supports a program that covers a diverse range of music worldwide, realising the dreams of emerging musicians.
