During the renovation, the hotel's public areas, hotel rooms, and conference rooms underwent a thorough upgrade. Necessary painting and repairs were carried out, floor coverings were replaced, and most of the furnishings were updated. All hotel rooms have new heating and cooling systems, beds, blankets, pillows, and textiles. In addition, the hotel now has a new dining concept, with an emphasis on high quality.
According to Harles Tammeleht, the general manager of Mercure Tallinn, the hotel has undergone a thorough renovation process since March 2022, when cooperation with Accor began. "During the renovation, the hotel remained open and our team has achieved excellent results in the process of merging with the Mercure brand in the first year of operation. Mercure Tallinn is an ideal stopover for both business travelers and holidaymakers who want to enjoy the beauty and culture of Tallinn. We are proud to be part of the Accor network and offer all our guests quality accommodation and service according to the well-known standards of the Mercure brand. There is tremendous potential here that we can finally introduce to the market properly," Tammeleht added.
Mercure Tallinn hotel has 132 modern and comfortable rooms and suites, three meeting rooms, and a restaurant. Guests can also use the gym and sauna for active relaxation. Conference and party rooms include two meeting rooms for up to 50 people and a meeting room for 10 people. There is also a private party room. Guests can enjoy the Le Lac restaurant and bar, which offers diversified gourmet culinary experiences. The menu combines international dishes and lake-inspired fish dishes made using classic French cuisine techniques.
The hotel is located in an excellent location, making it an ideal stopover for both passengers traveling through Tallinn Airport and the local community. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Tallinn Harbor and Lake Ülemiste, a 7-minute drive from the city centre and the Old Town, and a 2-minute walk from the Ülemiste Center. The hotel also has excellent tram connections to the city, making it even easier for passengers to get around the city.
During the hotel's opening event, Harles Tammeleht, the hotel's general manager, gave a speech and mentioned that they aim for the third lifecycle of the house to be the most ambitious and successful yet. The evening continued at the hotel's restaurant, Le Lac, where head chef Andrei Kostin treated guests to a luxurious dinner, demonstrating their ability to provide catering suitable for important events. The main performer of the event was musician Andreas Pall - a singer, guitarist, and one-man band who placed 5th in the 2021 Estonian Idol competition.
The hotel joined the Accor network last year and was renamed Mercure Tallinn, which brought with it all the benefits of Accor's international service and quality standards. The hotel has also joined the Accor Live Limitless (ALL) global loyalty program. Similarly to every Mercure hotel, this recently renovated hotel draws inspiration from the surrounding area, using the nearby Ülemiste Lake and Estonian nature as a source of design inspiration.
