The city of Presidente Prudente, in the state of São Paulo, joins Accor's expansion route with the conversion of the former Hotel Portal D'Oeste. In operation since 2001, the unit now carries the ibis Styles brand. The new brand will offer a contemporary and unique experience, combining style, comfort and accessibility.
“We're happy with this new step in the state of São Paulo. The newly converted hotel will join ibis Presidente Prudente, which already operates in the city," says Abel Castro, Chief Development Officer for Accor Americas in the Premium, Midscale & Economy division.
Maria Emilia Mirandola, from Rede Prudentão (a gas station company), one of the hotel's investors, comments on the conversion. “We’re very excited about this new brand. The more modern design, comfort and practicality are very much in line with what we expect from the hotel. The move to the ibis Styles brand complements our business, adding even more value, along with another development, ibis Presidente Prudente, located on Av. Manoel Goulart”.
The hotel has 150 apartments and offers a variety of attractions such as a swimming pool, children's area, dry and steam saunas, gym and a bar/convenience center next to reception. The design of the project, led by architect Thaissa Zacharias, is inspired by the "Old West". The enterprise generates 50 direct jobs in the city, which is a frequent destination for shopping, medical and educational services.
