Accor, a world-leading hospitality group, and Marival Group, a leading Canadian-Mexican hospitality investor with 35 years of expertise in operating and developing family-friendly and adults-only tourism concepts, have jointly announced their strategic alliance. Through this partnership, Marival Group will retain 100% ownership and management of its three premium Mexico Pacific Coast resorts, while benefiting from Accor’s superior distribution system and loyalty program. Marival Emotions Resort & Suites (495 rooms and suites) and Marival Distinct Luxury Residences & World Spa (169 residences), both located in Nuevo Vallarta, will join the Mercure brand and Handwritten Collection, respectively. Meanwhile, the third property, Armony Luxury Resort & Spa (268 rooms and suites), located in Punta de Mita, Riviera Nayarit, will be part of the MGallery Hotel Collection. The three resorts will join Accor in Q1 2024.
This alliance will allow Mercure, Handwritten Collection, and MGallery Hotel Collection to add over 900 new rooms to Accor’s portfolio. These new additions with Marival Group mark the arrival of the Accor Group in the Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit corridor, one of the main tourist destinations in Mexico and the region. The alliance between the groups will enhance Accor's regional positioning and enrich the leisure ecosystem in the market.

With the three hotels, Accor's guests will have a wide variety of options, including a diverse range of food & beverage and wellness experiences, fitness centers, tennis courts, swimming pools, jacuzzi, Mélange World Spa, a kids club, as well as convention centers and event spaces for up to 1,000 people. Marival Distinct Handwritten Collection and Marival Emotions Mercure hotel are both located 20 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport and 25 minutes from downtown, while Marival Armony MGallery Hotel Collection is located in the Punta de Mita area, 40 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.
