While much of Asia is currently under some form of social restrictions, gatherings are allowed under certain conditions and the need for human interaction and celebrations is rising.
Singapore has recently announced that weddings will be allowed for up to 250 if all guests are fully vaccinated, and meetings, conferences and conventions (where participants are mostly in fixed position for the session) of up to 1000 after 18th August. Where participants are mostly moving about, such as exhibitions and networking sessions, up to 500 delegates are allowed, with all being fully vaccinated. Events with up to 50 participants do not require Covid testing or proof of vaccination.
It is expected that rules will ease in other Asian nations during Q4 2021 and the rush to celebrate all those missed milestones means now is the time to book.
“Wedding and event planners have had a tough year, so this offer is a great way to help them bring some joy and hope back into the lives of their clients by planning those cancelled celebrations now,” said Kerry Healy, Chief Commercial Officer for Accor SE Asia, Japan & South Korea. “Hotels have always provided the setting for life’s most celebratory moments and we want to help people mark those special occasions again as soon as it is safe to do so.”
Accor is offering flexible conditions to give planners confidence in booking and has rolled out comprehensive ALL Safe Hygiene and Safety measures in addition to following all applicable government protocols for safe meetings. Meeting planners can choose whether to keep the points for themselves or offer them as an incentive for their clients to further sweeten the occasion.
