JAAN: SINGAPORE'S HIGHEST CLIMBER ON ASIA’S 50 BEST RESTAURANTS 2019
CELEBRATES ITS SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF RECOGNITION AS IT WINS 32ND PLACE
As spring approaches, JAAN celebrates the news of this proud achievement with the timely introduction of a brand-new spring menu. With the spring menu, Chef Kirk continues to champion a creative, redefined British dining philosophy that showcases his imaginative flair through the use of the finest seasonal produce. The menu is coloured by fresh vegetables and light flavours, showcasing British staples reinterpreted through a modern and innovative gastronomical lens. Featuring new creations that take the diner on an epicurean journey through Chef Kirk’s fond spring memories, as well as providing new interpretations of his iconic springtime dishes such as the Pertuis Asparagus, highlights include the elegant White Asparagus Carpaccio, an ode to the revered spring vegetable. The subtly sweet spears are thinly sliced into discs, paired with rich pike and trout caviar and topped with crème fraiche from Chef Kirk’s birth place, Devon. Another new dish of note is the Saffron and Black Truffle Pasta, which is the fruit of over a year’s worth of experimentation. The meticulously hand-made Capellini is paired with succulent scallops from Scrabster Harbour in the Northern tip of Scotland, topped with fragrant truffle, scallop sauce, brioche croutons and shavings of cured egg yolk. The dining experience ends with an indulgent Chocolate Dessert, which places a spotlight on the Valrhona Tanariva, an exquisite milk chocolate with pronounced milky caramel notes. The dessert is artfully created through the marbling of dark chocolate and white chocolate sauces, on which sits the molten chocolate cake with a vanilla custard centre encased in dark chocolate.

My new spring menu showcases some of the best produce from all over the United Kingdom, which I have personally sourced. The restaurant seats 40 guests in a sophisticated interior that features curated furniture and a stunning Murano crystal and silver free-form chandelier that spans the entire length of the ceiling. JAAN’s dining experience is further enhanced by the breath-taking view of Singapore’s scenic landscape as well as the truly exquisite culinary service experience that have become the hallmark of this multi-award winning restaurant.
JAAN features an elegant private dining room that can be made for exclusive use for events through prior reservation, or opened up as an extension to the restaurant space. The room accommodates up to 8 guests for a truly exceptional destination dining experience.
Meaning “bowl” in Cambodian, JAAN served mixed bowls comprising of grains, sprouts, vegetables, meats and fishes when it first opened. Since then, its cuisine style has evolved under the leadership of various international chefs.
