Ibis budget Sydney East’s fresh new look is set to impress cost-conscious travellers, with $2.5 million spent on modernising the property’s rooms and communal areas.
Design agency Mostaghim & Associates has led the refresh project, drawing inspiration and design cues from the property’s prime location nestled between Darlinghurst and Woolloomooloo.
All 115 rooms feature new flooring, industrial finishes, 42inch flat screen TVs, rain-shower heads, well placed pops of colour to bring the space to life and views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera house (within selected rooms). The rooms also feature double glazed widows, blackout blinds and ibis’ signature Sweet Beds, with 7cm-topper guaranteeing guests a restful night’s sleep.
With King, Twin and Family room configurations that can accommodate up to four people, free Wi-Fi and located in prime position just moments away from Sydney’s main attractions, ibis budget Sydney East offers travellers a Sydney stay that won’t break the bank.
Guests are encouraged to mix and mingle over a delicious all-you-can-eat continental breakfast in the updated café, and enjoy fresh fruit, pastries and cereal, plus freshly brewed barista coffee for a bargain price of $9.
Ajith Ratwatte, General Manager, ibis budget Sydney East, says “This refurbishment lifts the perceived standard of economy accommodation, improving not only the look and feel of the rooms, but also the comfort level, allowing our guests to relax and unwind in between exploring the city.”
