AccorHotels is pleased to announce the continued partnership with Xi’an Renmin Dasha Co. Ltd to manage four properties in Xi’an Renmin Square namely Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, Grand Mercure and Mercure.
Situated in the heart of Xi’an’s Ming Dynasty city walls, Xi’an Renmin Square is a 40,000sqm complex boasting a lush landscaped garden, theatre and convention centre. The complex is within close walking proximity to the retail mall, dining outlets and popular attraction sites such as the historic Bell and Drum Towers. The world’s first museum, Forest of Steles, is a short stroll away while the bustling legendary Muslim quarter where fragrant spices of traders have perfumed the streets for centuries is located nearby with the famed Terracotta Army a 45 minute drive away.
Located in the centre of Xi’an Renmin Square is the Sofitel Legend People’s Grand Hotel Xian which opened in 1953 as a state guesthouse on the grounds of an imperial palace. It was the first hotel in Greater China to join the Sofitel exclusive Legend collection. Designed by the Chinese architect Hong Qing, the hotel’s 71 guest rooms and suites feature the national flower of France, the fleur-de-lis, to reflect a harmonious blend of French and Sino-Russian inspiration with timeless elegance. The property boasts an Italian restaurant, a bar, museum, health club, swimming pool and a spa.

Guest staying at the hotel can indulge in an array of dining options with three restaurants and bars that serve authentic Chinese and Mediterranean cuisine. Other facilities include a business centre, swimming pool, spa and retail shops. A new Japanese restaurant is due to open later in 2018.
Housed in a classical 1957 heritage building is the Grand Mercure Xian on Renmin Square. Featuring 194 guestrooms and suites, the hotel exudes a bespoke design with an old-world’s charm. A low-rise heritage building, the hotel features a Sino-Russian façade with lush greeneries.
Surrounded by a large landscaped garden, Mercure Xian on Renmin Square features 91 rooms including 24 suites, as well as 780sqm of function space. Rooted to its surroundings, the hotel boasts a contemporary design that is locally inspired.
