IBIS MUSIC LAUNCHES VIRTUAL MUSIC TOUR IN COLLABORATION WITH IZZY BIZU
The brand’s campaign “ibis music We Are Open” aims to re-connect the world through music by celebrating diversity and inclusiveness
With concerts and festivals still on hold, music continues to inspire people, bringing a dose of positivity to our homes throughout the pandemic. Connecting households together virtually, the power of music has allowed us all to unite, inspire and entertain – breaking down the lockdown blues.
Headlining the “ibis MUSIC We are Open” tour are Charlie Winston (UK musician based in France), Pabllo Vittar (Brazil), and Izzy Bizu (UK), who will all perform from various ibis locations around the world. The UK leg of the tour launches today, 15th March, finishing on the 21st April.
Following her debut album in 2016, a wave of accolades arrived for UK songstress Izzy Bizu, including a spot in the BBC’s Sound of 2016 and Brits Critic Choice shortlist. Izzy was also crowned winner of the BBC Introducing Award 2016 and in the following year, the music sensation secured a support slot on Coldplay’s 2017 US tour. 2020 saw Izzy Bizu's return with three scorching new releases: “Faded”, “Tough Pill” and “MG” ft Dom McAllister. A first taste of new music from Izzy Bizu, with more to follow in 2021.
Izzy Bizu has curated an impressive lineup and will highlight the refreshing RnB and Pop of Amilli (Germany), the hip-hop producers and songwriters virtuosos Meta4 Planet (Morocco) and the unique tone and style of Hanni (Australia). The journey also takes fans to discover musicians from Mexico, India, Belgium, Indonesia, Poland, and Spain, showcasing artists from some of the most exciting destinations in the world.
Commenting on the ibis MUSIC virtual gig series, Izzy Bizu, the British songstress and master of vibrant pop said: "I'm thrilled to join this special journey with ibis MUSIC - to re-connect artists and fans from around the world in these socially distanced times. Music has the ability to transcend the differences between us and bring us together like nothing else, and I'm incredibly excited to begin this musical adventure.”

Performances will be broadcast virtually around the world via Instagram TV (@ibishotels), Facebook and YouTube. They will celebrate a theme of openness to the world and to others, reaffirming the ibis core values of togetherness and inclusiveness, while sharing a message of hope and unity to all.
