FAIRMONT ST ANDREWS APPOINTS KAI WINKLER AS GENERAL MANAGER
In his new role, Kai will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational functions at the luxury hotel, including providing strategic guidance to achieve Fairmont’s vision and implementing organizational processes for all divisions. Kai joins the St Andrews team with a vision and ambition to solidify the hotel’s position as one of the finest golf resorts in Europe.
Joining the Fairmont brand in 2016 as the General Manager of Fairmont Quasar, Istanbul, Kai led the team in establishing a flagship Fairmont property before moving onto coveted leadership roles at Fairmont The Palm, Dubai and the Fairmont Golden Prague where he oversaw the start of a €100 million renovation project which will culminate in the hotel’s opening in 2024. A German national and a seasoned hotelier, Kai brings almost three decades of experience to his new position in Scotland.
