Double premiere for the hospitality market in Romania: global hospitality group Accor brings Tribe and Adagio hotels to Bucharest
Tribe is Accor’s latest lifestyle brand, growing quickly across Europe, an artfully curated hotel experience that makes it a leader in the design-led affordable luxury sector. The new 85-bedroom hotel is designed for guests and locals, offering an astonishing public space with a fresh wall, a restaurant, a bar with outside terrace, a multi-purpose room which can be divided into separate meeting spaces and underground parking. More so, the concept also features a pool and wellness area and a gym which will be open for both the hotel quests but also for the local community. With a unique and innovative design conceived by an internationally recognized designer, a strong identity, open common areas, new technology and user-friendly services, the 4-star midscale hotel will stand for hospitality reinvented, for a complete urban lifestyle experience where the democratization of good design is the key.
The new Adagio Aparthotel will offer 115 guest rooms and suites, a living room which acts as reception and lobby, breakfast area, laundry room for guests and its own underground private parking. Adagio is designed those who seek the comfort of an apartment with hotel services for extra convenience. Adagio is a strong brand offering a living space rather than just a hotel room, so guests have space to sleep, eat, entertain and work. The brand Adagio is a perfect solution for mid- and long-term stays: privacy, autonomy and flexibility. The new hotels will be located on Miron Costin Street, close to Basarab Bridge and Basarab Train Station. Within five minutes walking from the Central Train Station in Bucharest, “Gara de Nord”, six minutes’ drive to Victoriei Square and 10 minutes of Universitate Square, kilometer 0 of the capital city, the location is very convenient due to its great accessibility by train, bus, tram and metro.
“The revolutionary concept of the Tribe lifestyle brand and the recomforting convenience and warmth of the Adagio Aparthotel will generate a formidable magnetism around the destination, due to their novelty and because they address market segments which are not covered by the existing hospitality offer – the upper-mid-scale lifestyle design hotels for contemporary nomads and the long-term stays. Hence, we are confident that they will be warmly welcomed by the market and enjoy a successful launching and operation.” stated Frank Reul, Vice-President of Development for Northern Europe at Accor.
“The announcement of this bold project reflects our commitment to bring new, exciting products and services to Bucharest, as well as to contribute to the growth of the local community, by reviving an area of great potential. Our partnership with leading global hospitality group Accor guarantees the quality of our products, as well as service excellence. Accor’s professional team and global know-how ideally complement our development capabilities and support us in fulfilling our vision of turning the Tribe-Adagio Hotels into a lighthouse for business and leisure travelers, as well as for our neighbors.” stated Lucian Marinescu, Pre-Opening General Manager, Tribe Bucharest Basarab & Adagio Bucharest Basarab.

ABOUT NEST+ BASARAB
NEST+ Basarab is a premium mixed-use development, located in the proximity of Basarab Bridge, on Petru Rares, Ioan Bianu and Miron Costin Streets. The project is developed in 4 phases and, upon completion, will bring to the market 253 apartments & lofts, retail areas, a wellness and spa center, underground parking and two brand-new hotels, Tribe and Adagio. The total investment in the project exceeds 50 mil euro.
Phases 1 and 2 of the development are already finalized under the name Petru Rareș 1259. The compound includes 165 residential units, commercial spaces and underground parking. For traffic fluidization reasons, the development connects to three surrounding streets: Petru Rareș, Ion Bianu and Miron Costin. The project brings a valuable design update to the area, through the works of renowned architecture companies such as K Box, Westfourh and Fabrica de Arhitectura. The facades concept is designed in Paris by Aldric Beckmann Architects. Petru Rareș Lofts represents the third phase of the project and it is scheduled to start this year. It is a boutique residential compound with 70 designer units which hold the signature of AdnBa Architects.
The 4th phase of Nest+Basarab mixed-use lifestyle project is represented by the two Accor hotels – Tribe and Adagio, together in one building, to be opened in 2024. They will bring innovative hospitality services and features to the local market, delivered by a passionate team of young hoteliers. The design team includes artists and professionals from Paris, Bucharest and Moscow, which work together to integrate the unique Tribe and Adagio product standards, into a contemporary local artistic style. One of the novelties the project brings is the investment opportunity it offers to individuals, of becoming owners of a room or suite in the Adagio Aparthotel and leasing it back to the developers.
