In line with its strategy, Accor, the world’s leading hotel group, is developing its offer in Polish tourist destinations and resorts. There will be another iconic hotel located in the mountains, this time in Karpacz. Accor has signed a franchise agreement with investor Artur Kozieja for the five-star Sanssouci Karpacz MGallery Hotel Collection. The historic hotel building will undergo a rebranding and redevelopment to welcome its first guests in early 2023 and to offer them the unique experience provided by MGallery brand.
The 110-room Sanssouci Karpacz MGallery Hotel Collection is being built as part of major redevelopment and extension of the historic Sanssouci Hotel Karpacz at Karkonoska Street, with a beautiful view of the panorama of the area. Built in the early 20th century, Sanssouci Hotel was a showcase of the region in Europe. It had the first passenger lift in the region, its own restaurant, central heating, as well as hot and cold running water. It also housed a casino. Thanks to intensive renovation works carried out under the supervision of the conservator, the historic building is regaining its former glory.
Apart from 110 rooms, Sannsouci Karpacz MGallery Hotel Collection will offer a restaurant, a conference room, a SPA & wellness area with a swimming pool, saunas and hot tubs. The historic ballroom will also be restored.
It will be the fourth hotel in Poland operating under the MGallery Hotel Collection brand, after Kraków, Sopot and Wrocław, as well as another one created as part of the redevelopment of a historical building.
“The MGallery Hotel Collection equals a boutique brand and unique properties where culture and history mingle with modern design and contemporary art, creating an exceptional atmosphere that provides guests with unforgettable experiences. Each hotel has its own one-of-a-kind personality and is the result of the creative work of world-renowned architects and interior designers. Hotel Sannsouci, with its history, will be a great addition to the MGallery collection and working with such an experienced investor on this project provides great pleasure and satisfaction”, said Jacek Stasikowski, Accor’s Development Director.
The investor is Artur Kozieja, an experienced specialist on the Polish hotel market, with whom Accor has also recently signed a management contract for the Mövenpick Zakopane hotel.
“Sanssouci Hotel is an iconic place on the map of Karpacz, which after years of neglect, is again becoming a synonym for luxury leisure in the highest standard. Thanks to its excellent location and matchless character, it will be an attractive destination for Polish and foreign tourists alike. The hotel is very much a part of the landscape and tradition of the place where it is located, which is why we decided to go for MGallery brand, for which the unique character of the building is a key value”, emphasizes Artur Kozieja.
The Sanssouci Karpacz MGallery Hotel Collection is scheduled to open in early 2023.
