JO&JOE Medellín
JO&JOE Medellín is an architectural project signed by ALH Arquitectura–ArqSantiago Arango. Their concept stands out for the diversity of colors and artistic interventions present on all walls and environments while feeling the Colombian culture. The highlight of the Medellín project is the immersion of local graffiti artists, as "street art" is very famous in the city.
Offering more experiences than a standard hostel, while remaining uniquely different from traditional hotels, JO&JOE Medellin is perfect for groups of friends, solo or family stays. The hotel has 186 beds distributed in 58 apartments, in addition to restaurant, bars and meeting rooms. The hotel design, simple and minimalist, combines perfectly with raw materials used in architecture and furniture.
JO&JOE Medellin is in the neighborhood of El Poblado, Provenza, which is the fastest growing touristic, gastronomic and entertainment area in Medellín, where you will find the best bars, restaurants and nightclubs. The location, in addition to being in the coolest area of the city, also stands out for being an easy access to shops, banks, supermarkets and to the Túnel del Oriente, which connects to Medellín Airport in 18 minutes. JO&JOE Rio de Janeiro
Located at the foot of Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer, in the architectural complex of Largo do Boticário, JO&JOE Rio de Janeiro will become the hottest lifestyle place in the capital. The new unit will become a place to share good times through exquisite food, an entertainment agenda, and surprises throughout the day. The restaurant has flexible spaces and multiple services during the day, ranging from breakfast, lunch, snacks, happy hour to small shows to entertain customers at different times.
JO&JOE Rio de Janeiro will have an area of 4,158sqm built on a total surface of 6,000sqm, with 80 rooms (320 beds) that will be able to accommodate up to 10 people, but also private rooms. The complex will feature a restaurant, two bars, social areas, three swimming pools, a games room and a coworking space with a private room and SPOT.
The hotel has a unique and modern design, showing concepts of urban art, which will provide a big city atmosphere, in addition to bringing an idea of spacious environments that promote interaction and coexistence between guests and visitors.
The Largo do Boticário
The project carries out the complete requalification and restoration of the complex, a heritage listed by the “State Institute of Cultural Heritage (INEPAC) in 1987, respecting the original project. A book that tells the story of “Largo do Boticário” and shows the development of architectural revitalization works under the supervision of Inepac will be released for the opening. The surrounding area of native forest, also a listed heritage site, is preserved.
