AccorHotels is delighted to add another accolade to the list after receiving the NSW Export Award in the category of NSW Asian Exporter, for its Optimum Service Standards program for Chinese visitation to Australia. The NSW Asian Exporter Award recognises outstanding export achievement by an enterprise in any industry sector that has attained particular success in exporting goods or services to Asia. Chief Operating Officer AccorHotels Pacific, Simon McGrath, said “We are thrilled to have received this honourable award for our AccorHotels Optimum Service Standards (OSS) program, which ensures Chinese tourists receive the highest level of service standards when they visit AccorHotels in Australia. This is a positive showcase or our company’s ‘Feel Welcome’ philosophy which focuses on making our guests feel at home when they stay in any of our properties.” The OSS was a clear favourite amongst the panel of judges, with the program featuring Mandarin speaking staff and cultural training, translated hotel welcome kits, Chinese newspapers and tailored food and beverage items to the preferences of Chinese guests. Lisa McAuley, Chief Executive Officer for the Export Council of Australia said “The judges were particularly pleased by the quality of the entries this year and commend all winners for demonstrating a real talent for innovation – cleverly evolving their products to meet market needs. We congratulate AccorHotels on being named the 2015 Premier’s NSW Export Award winner in the category of NSW Asian Exporter.” More than 85 applicants vied for one of 12 industry specific categories and 8 state based awards that recognise emerging exporters, leadership, innovation, and above all else export excellence at last night’s awards ceremony held at the Star, at Pyrmont in Sydney. Notable guests in attendance included the Hon. Mike Baird MP, Premier of NSW, Minister for Western Sydney and The Hon. Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events, Minister for Sport.
