AccorHotels, the world’s leading hotel operator and market leader in Europe, is delighted to have signed the ibis Styles Manchester Portland Street hotel. As a result, the brand has now doubled the number of rooms to 2,031 in 2015, across the UK and Ireland.
Located in one of Manchester’s most sought after locations, overlooking Piccadilly Gardens, the 204 room hotel is an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers. The ibis Styles Manchester Portland Street hotel, will be operated under a management agreement with Amaris Hospitality.
The hotel will undergo an extensive three million pounds investment funded by Amaris Hospitality to transform it into the unique energetic spirit of an ibis Styles. During the refurbishment time, the hotel will continue to trade under its current name, The Portland Hotel. The refurbishment is expected to finish in summer 2016.
Jamboree FoodFest & Bar will also open as part of the new hotel. Having just opened at Blackfriars in London, this will see Jamboree open its first joint outside the Capital. It will offer diners robust, exciting and moreish flavours from around the world, celebrating culture, diversity and global adventure in food and drink form, with a party atmosphere of sunny climes and laid back vibes.
The hotel is the first ibis Styles in Manchester, joining its network of 5 ibis brand hotels across the city. Like all ibis Styles, the Manchester Portland Street hotel will have its own individual personality, drawing inspiration from local surroundings and culture, providing guests with a unique experience wherever they stay.
AccorHotels have opened a further 5 new ibis Styles hotels during 2015; ibis Styles Birmingham Airport NEC, ibis Styles Crewe, ibis Styles Glasgow Centre George Square, ibis Styles Haydock hotel and ibis Styles Barnsley hotels. Next year also sees exciting developments on the brand with, a newly refurbished ibis Styles Southwark Rose and the opening of ibis Styles Reading, Oxford Road.
