After welcoming first guests this summer, Mercure Debrecen held an official opening gala event for local community and business partners. The evening was packed with plenty of attractions such as magic tricks, fire attractions and performance of famous Hungarian singer known from Megasztár series and The Voice USA, Viktor Király.
To celebrate first successful months of operations, new Mercure Debrecen hotel prepared special event showcasing the world of beloved hospitality brand to the locals and business partners. Accompanied by the sounds of young DJs along the classical violin music, the guests were entertained by the magician and fire tricks providing outstanding experience to every attendee. The main attraction of the night was a musical performance by Viktor Király – singer, songwriter, winner of many awards in Hungary and one of Top 20 from 9th season of The Voice USA TV show. To delight the taste buds of the guests, the hotel team prepared Candy Corner by Jarding with sweet French desserts as well as popcorn and cotton candy bar resembling the memories from childhood years.
Since the opening of our hotel in August this year, we have hosted several sould-out events, congresses and major conferences. This is great achievement given the destination we operate in. With ambition we aim to be the hotel with great offering for not only leisure guests, but also MICE sector and clients coming to Debrecen for business – claims Gábor Demény, General Manager of Mercure Debrecen. – We are happy to have brought the beloved Mercure brand, known for capturing the spirt and history of each destination to Debrecen.
