Accor is opening two five-stars hotels in Hungary
Accor, the world-leading hospitality group, and the Hungarian real estate development group Dreamland Holding have signed a partnership agreement to open two five-star hotels two five-star hotels in Hungary in the last quarter of this year. With Mövenpick BalaLand Resort and FamilyPark in Szántód, the brand debuts in Hungary, while Minaro Hotel MGallery in Tokaj will be the first hotel of the brand outside Budapest. The total value of the two investments is 78 M EUR.
The 100 rooms five-star hotel Hotel MGallery in Tokaj and adjacent event centre have the potential to become a leading upscale resort in the region as well as one of the best of its class outside Budapest in Hungary. The five-star, highly themed resort focuses on couples, as well as targeting incentives and small and medium sized events. The value of the development is 28 M EUR altogether.
Mövenpick BalaLand will offer a 109-rooms as a five-star hotel resort and family park in Szántód, Balaton. With its 50 M EUR investment value, this is the first truly comprehensive resort development around Balaton and a part of a wider project that encompasses a unique in- and outdoor waterpark and adventure park, over 5,000 sqm indoor facilities (to be also operated by Accor) and 112 residential apartments.

Dreamland is developing four greenfield resort thematic developments across various key tourist destinations in Hungary. They have chosen Accor to manage their first two locations: Tokaj and Szántód, both being among the first five highlighted domestic touristic destinations announced by the Hungarian Tourism Agency. All developments of Dreamland offer spectacular locations and integrated interior thematic design making guests’ experience unforgettable not at the first sight but in the long run as well.
