Select Fairmont and Swissôtel properties across the region will be host to a Santa Suite, a specially decorated suite that serves as Santa’s home away from the North Pole. The suites are outfitted with whimsical décor, Christmas trees piled high with gifts, and scheduled visits from Santa himself lined up throughout the season. The Santa Suite started at Swissôtel Chicago in 2014, and has expanded across the region, to include properties such as Fairmont San Francisco, Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown, Fairmont Winnipeg, and Fairmont Royal York.
Travel + Give Back with Trees of Hope Package
Travelers can give back this holiday season with the Trees of Hope package at select Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel properties. A charitable initiative that supports local communities, the package includes savings up to 25 percent off the daily rate and a $10 donation per night to the hotel’s charity of choice. This year, Fairmont Grand Del Mar has partnered with the San Diego Center for Children, Swissôtel Chicago and Fairmont Chicago will once again support SOS Children’s Villages, and Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth’s proceeds will go towards LEUCAN, which supports cancer-stricken children and their families.
Go Sledding + Sip Champagne at Fairmont Grand Del Mar’s Holiday Festival
Join Fairmont Grand Del Mar as they open their first Winter Wonderland at the Grand — an extravagant holiday festival with SoCal sledding and snowman building, Ferris Wheel rides, storytelling with Santa around the 25-foot Christmas tree, Moët & Chandon Champagne Garden, and more. Fairmont Olympic Hotel is Seattle’s home for the festive season. Families have created lasting holiday memories at the celebrated landmark– from experiencing the iconic Teddy Bear Suite, to viewing the oversized Gingerbread House. From now until December 2, travelers and locals alike are invited to visit the Fairmont Olympic lobby for the Festival of Trees which will feature 22 Christmas trees all designed by local Seattle artists. Trees are available for sponsorship and for purchase starting at $3,500, with proceeds benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Join Fairmont Austin’s First Holiday Celebration
Fairmont Austin is celebrating its first holiday with a series of events to support Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. A highlight will be the first annual Tree Lighting Celebration in Fairmont Austin’s lobby on December 2 from 5 p.m. — 7 p.m. Families can enjoy seasonal beverages, cookies served from Santa’s Bakeshop, holiday themed performances by a local choir, photos with Santa, a special guest from Dell Children’s Medical Center helping to “light up” the 20-foot tree, a 15-foot tall macaron nutcracker created by Fairmont Austin’s culinary team, and other special surprises throughout the evening.
Dine in a Life-Sized Gingerbread House at Fairmont San Francisco
For more than a century, Fairmont San Francisco has created a tradition of enchanting guests with holiday festivities. Starting on November 23, the hotel transforms into one of the world’s most beloved holiday destinations, with a two-story, life-sized Gingerbread House in the hotel’s lobby. This enormous and completely edible Gingerbread House will stand more than 25 feet high, 35 feet wide and 10 feet deep and will feature more than 10,250 homemade gingerbread bricks, 1,650 pounds of candy and 3,300 pounds of royal icing. New this year, guests can book the Gingerbread House for a private dining experience – whether it be holiday afternoon tea, festive dinner or a special occasion.
